Therapy for Teenagers and Young People

SHORT-TERM THERAPY FOR ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Time-limited Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (TAPP) at Wendy Bramham Therapy

In the last few years Bramham Therapy has experienced growing numbers of teenagers and young people asking for our help with issues such as depression and anxiety.  To meet this growing demand, a few of our team (who are already qualified and experienced in psychotherapy) are currently undertaking further specialist training in London to complement their experience of working with adolescents and young people.

Time-limited psychotherapy (TAPP) is a 20-session model of psychotherapy specifically designed for young people in the (approximate) age range of 14-25.  This therapy addresses the problem behaviours, states of mind, feelings and symptoms which may be acting as disturbances in the developmental process of the early adult years. The therapy incorporates a problem-solving approach through active participation of the client who may be experiencing the following concerns or problems:

  • Depression, anxiety, difficulties around separation
  • Difficulties in relationships
  • Self-destructive relationships and self-harm/suicidality
  • Post-trauma presentation
  • Complex presentations of mental health diagnoses with psychosocial vulnerabilities

This will be a BPC accredited training and will be undertaken with a well-established organisation and leading figures in the field of adolescent therapy.

A limited number of reduced-fee sessions may be available.  Please call us on 01635 226880 or email: info@bramhamtherapy.co.uk  When calling please be prepared to leave a message and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
