Core Process Psychotherapy – in-training

Philosophy and style of working:

Are you facing issues related to anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, spirituality, loss or major life changes?

There are times when we need some help when confronted with life’s challenges. I am committed to supporting you on your journey to healing and self-discovery.

Individual psychotherapy is a way to investigate and resolve issues that are frustrating or limiting us, holding us back or making us feel unhappy.

Core Process is a relational, mindfulness orientated psychotherapy which draws from buddhist understandings and western psychotherapeutic theory. My approach is to gently and compassionately explore how experiences in early life influence us and show up in our present lives. The past can trip us up in the present.

I am interested in developing a mindful embodied awareness of the ‘here and now’, and to discover what it tells us about how we are, in relationship to others, the world and ourselves.  My approach is that therapy is a partnership with the client, jointly enquiring into the present moment, recognising old patterns that we enact in the present.

One focus of my work is exploring the space where mind and body meet. I believe they are not separate. The body knows and holds the wisdom to heal. When we connect with and give attention to the body, we learn more about our emotional landscape. By listening to the body we create pathways to our current and past experiences. The focus of my work is accessing our inherent health and wisdom rather than pathology. The work is done in the spirit of non-judgemental and gentle compassionate enquiry.
