Philosophy and style of working:
Anita practices integrative psychotherapy primarily focusing on attachment, believing that the past affects the present. This means that in creating an understanding of relationships throughout one’s life, one can begin to address these and the impact on current relationships and begin to heal.
If there are significant factors including trauma, abuse, bullying, she has found that EMDR therapy has been very helpful in healing lasting wounds from these events, allowing each person to feel free from the negative beliefs formed by such events and patterns of thinking.

Training and Experience:
Anita completed her Masters degree at Vanguard University of Southern California and went on to get her license as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the state of California.
She worked for several years in the adult community mental health sector both as a clinician and as the Clinical Director of a large mental health clinic in California.
She also worked with youth in the foster care system as they built independent living skills and transitioned into adulthood.
She has been in private practice for many years, specializing in working with couples and working with individuals through traumatic events in their lives.
