Philosophy & Style of Working

Through a psychodynamic approach, Alexandra aims to help her clients gain a greater understanding of why they feel and behave in the way they do, and to learn to manage their lives differently. Through exploring the underlying cause of distress we become aware of how past experiences impact us in the present. Processing these troubling issues can help us understand ourselves better and enable us to make the changes necessary to engage more fully with life.

Alexandra is offering clients a confidential space, in a private comfortable setting, where they can begin to speak about the difficulties that are affecting their daily life. Over the years she has worked with individuals who are experiencing a wide range of psychological issues including anxiety, depression, family trauma, relationship problems, self-harm, abuse, bereavement, post traumatic stress and life changes.

Alexandra offers both short and long-term counselling to adults.
