Professional Training (CPD) for Therapists and Health Professionals

Accessing the Unconscious; A Jungian Exploration of Dream and Fantasy – with Stephen Bushell
February 27 @ 10:00 am-4:00 pm
£95 – £105
Introduction
For Carl Jung our dreams and fantasies give us direct access to the unconscious. The creative function of the psyche, which is largely unconscious, is to produce symbolic images that we can bring into consciousness by working with our dreams and fantasies. In this way we work on expanding consciousness as it becomes more able to contain previously split off material; and most importantly we approach the Self, that central archetype of order and wholeness which, in collaboration with the ego, energises and directs our journey of becoming.
In this workshop Stephen will guide us in working with dreams (our own and from client material): how to work with feeling in dreams, exploring the symbolic nature of the material and how to conduct ‘active imagination’ with figures in our dreams. The format will be a mix of some time teaching of concepts and methodology and plenty of opportunity for experiential learning.
No previous knowledge of Jung is necessary nor expected, just an openness to explore together.
